BAVAL HONORS JIMMY BUFFET

BAVAL set up for the first time at Steppin' out 2001. While we ended up spending more money than we made, our goal is just not in fundraising. We had a great time. We had plenty of laughs and now James knows every word to every Jimmy Buffet song. He also knows how to "fins to the left, fins to the right". We promoted our night at the races function, Light The Night and Team in Training. We had several Team in Training members from Blacksburg for the fall of 2001. Most are participating in Dublin, Ireland Marathon. Heidi and her crew raffled off a hamock and made a little over $100.

All our proceeds were to go to our Light the Night team. We were also going to give some to the Team in Training members. Unfortunately there were no proceeds. I did hear, however that it was a bad year all around for the Business men. We'll be there next year and hopefully will have a better outcome.
