This years races got off to a good start as the # 1 horse won from the front. There was some excitement in the 4th race as a photo finish occured between the #8 horse and the #4 horse. The four horse prevailed by a nose. Several people got the first half of the Daily Double taking the #10 horse, but couldn't complete it as nobody took the four horse. The pot of $200 was rolled over into the 9th race and led to heavy betting as the total purse reached $612. The Marshal family used this to propel them into first place of money earners by taking back $290. Pat Kelly of Rock 105.3 The Bear, proved to be a better MC than handicapper, and should have asked for pointers form his date, Joy.
